The Couloir Mountain Helmet by SCOTT is a featherweight, freeride-inspired game changer.


By utilizing Casidion® in the top of the shell, the SCOTT engineers were able to deliver one of the lowest profile dual-norm helmets on the market whilst also significantly reducing the weight of the helmet. With additional features like a headlamp fixation and dual padding configuration, the Couloir Mountain by SCOTT can perform in both winter and summer conditions.


In high-alpine environments, having dependable gear is essential, that’s why SCOTT worked closely with the team of world-class mountain guides to develop this mountain specific helmet. With a variety of functional safety features, the helmet gives you the peace of mind to keep your eye on the prize, not on your gear.

  • Range of Use: Mountain 4-seasons

  • Construction: PC In-mold - lighter, more comfortable and aesthetic; polycarbonate shell fused with an impact absorbent foam liner

  • Fit: SCOTT´s top of the line HALO Fit System provides ease of adjustability and unparallelled comfort. Easily find the perfect height of the rear ergonomic cradle while the helmet is on your head and dial in the perfect pressure using the beautifully engineered micro adjustment dial. The result is the best feeling helmet ever, a helmet which adapts to your head shape and leaves you feeling secure and focusing on the ride.

  • Dual Active Venting System: Two sliders in the front and top area of the helmet for unparalleled ventilation

  • Passive Goggle Venting System: Intake vents placed on the front of the helmet, just above the goggle, remove stagnant air that causes fogging

  • Casidion Technology: The revolutionary Casidion® impact protection material - a leap in helmet development as it allows to significantly reduce the weight & stand-off of the helmet while outperforming standard EPS foam in terms of impact absorption - basically EPS on steroids.

  • Performance dual padding configuration (Ski and Mountaineering)

  • Coolmax® Moisture Management System: Coolmax® fabric is a performance fabric that includes an effective, fiber-based moisture management system. The system moves perspiration away from the body, and through the fabric, where it can evaporate quickly, allowing the wearer to feel cooler and more comfortable.
