The women’s lightweight, nimble, summer alpine approach shoe MTN Trainer Lite by SALEWA is made for hikers and trekkers, who like to pick up the pace in any terrain.


The MTN Trainer Lite by SALEWA is built to provide lightweight comfort, grip and stability for alpine approach and mountain use. It has a robust fabric upper that fits well straight out of the box. The lasted construction and moulded EVA midsole create a stiff midfoot with a flexible forefoot for moving quickly in rough terrain. This shoe is also engineered with our proprietary 3F system that connects the instep, sole and heel for additional ankle support.


The heel stabilizer of the MTN Trainer Lite by SALEWA and rubber toe cap also add further protection. Underfoot, the durable outsole has deep aggressive lugs to ensure reliable traction while the Pomoca compound rubber is grippy enough for scrambling both on wet and dry rock. The climbing lacing allows you to fine-tune right down to the toe for greater precision in technical rocky terrain.


Designed in Italy, the women’s MTN Trainer Lite by SALEWA is the perfect summer hiker with the technical pedigree for rugged, alpine use.

  • Pomoca® Speed MTN Outsole: The Speed MTN sole is characterized by a balanced ratio between grip and traction. Grip is given by the new Pomoca Butilic compound, performing at high level both on dry and wet hard surfaces. On the other side on mud and soft terrain traction is guaranteed by the special lug profile. A sole for fast mountain approaches or traversing with constant grip.

  • Ortholite® footbed: The shoe fits perfectly to your akles, thanks to the Ortholite footbed. This means absolute allround comfort without non-essentail room to move.

  • Heel stabilizer

  • TPU film protection

  • Rubber toe cup
