• The device is optimized for lead climbing with the integrated wheel, allowing smooth and easy rope payout.


• Security comfort is ensured through the assisted braking using camming grooves: In the event of a fall or when the climber pauses, the rope tightens, and the wheel locks. Then, the camming grooves rotate and engage with the rope to block it.

Easy handling:

• Engraved markings on the belay device facilitate rope insertion.


• Same hand movements as with all PETZL belay devices: The rope is threaded through the device, and one hand is always on the brake rope.


• Assisted braking using camming grooves allows for a wide tolerance in hand positioning on the brake rope, regardless of the angle between the rope facing the climber and the brake rope.
