The Updays 20 by DEUTER is for ski touring enthusiasts who want to push their limits and keep fit with fast-paced skinning.


The zip around main opening allows quick access to avalanche equipment and personal belongings. An easy-access bottom compartment via hook & loop closure makes it quick to get at skins, ski crampons or climbing crampons, without having to take off the pack.


The adjustable diagonal ski attachment system with a loop for ski ends, a bungee cord at the top and quick attachment via a hook on the shoulder strap, makes handling of skis both quick and easy – including when wearing gloves and without taking the pack off. If a particular ski tour does not require skis to be carried, these straps can be detached and stowed away.


Stripped down to the essentials but without compromising on comfort, the lightweight DEUTER Lite back system, combined with optimized choice of materials, delivers an excellent weight-to-comfort ratio. The foam back pad can also be removed if even more weight needs to be shaved off, and the ski straps detached.
